HEALTHSOUTH REHABILITATION HOSPITAL OF HENDERSON is a 70-bed free standing hospital located just 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.� The hospital was designed and built to provide comprehensive rehabilitation for people who are medically and physically disabled.� We offer a wide range of specialized medical and therapeutic services for Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis and Orthopedic services delivered by experienced, licensed professionals.��Our facility offers�inpatient, outpatient and home health services.

HealthSouth's Home Health programs provide skilled nursing and therapeutic services, such as physical, occupational or speech therapy, medical social services, and other home medical arrangements.

Our team of Home Health professionals works closely with the patient's physician and family to develop a plan of treatment, tailored to meet the patient's individual healthcare needs. This team approach ensures consistent, coordinated care from professionals who understand the unique needs of homebound patients.

Job Requirements

Job Description
The Clinical Supervisor organizes, develops, directs, and supervises the clinical & patient care operations of the home health agency (HHA). The Clinical Supervisor also acts in the absence of the Director of Home Health. This is done in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure that the highest degree of quality care is rendered at all times. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor position:

  • requires good supervisory skills along with good communication skills for interdepartmental relationships.

  • is responsible for staffing and scheduling to provide necessary coverage for patient services provided by the business.

  • manages the clinical components of the business including quality of care provided, documentation, & compliance.

  • maintains open and an on-going communication with the Home Health Agency to ensure patient, staff, and business needs are met.

    The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for helping to create an environment and culture that enables the HHA to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals, conveying the agency's mission to all staff, holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve performance and taking responsibility for the operation of the business, measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of business performance.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    License or Certification:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse as required by state

  • Valid, current driver's license.

    Education, Training and Experience

  • Successfully completed a degree in Nursing.

  • Minimum five years of healthcare experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of very recent employment in a Medicare certified HHA.

    Machines, Equipment Used:

  • General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity and ability to communicate sufficiently to conduct safe patient care duties

  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds, which includes participating in patient mobility activities.

    Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English.

  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both writing and verbal arenas as well as via email.

  • Ability to work independently without supervision.

    Environmental Conditions:

  • Exposure to unpredictable elements in patients' homes including various and unpredictable situations.

  • Exposure or potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required.

  • May be exposed to infectious or contagious diseases.

  • May work under stressful circumstances at times.

    Proficiency or Productivity Standards:

  • May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and or night shifts if needed to meet deadlines.

  • May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.

  • Will be required to work as necessary during disaster situations, i.e. before, during or after a disaster.

  • May be required to stay after workday to assist after a disaster situation until relief arrives.

  • Regular attendance and reporting on time to work is a requirement of position.
