Job Description
Physical Therapy Supervisor
Our client is a premier long-term acute care hospital. They are well known as a
respiratory care hospital, a ventilator weaning hospital, and a pulmonary
rehabilitation hospital. They are conveniently located in Quincy
at this time they need a full time supervisor for an inpatient setting
There is free parking and also their site is accessible to MBTA.
Job Summary:
This is a full time job 8:00AM-4: 30PM OR 9:30AM-6: 00PM.
The candidate will be supervising 39 beds and 6 therapists.
This is not a stressful position.
The place runs well and the Supervisor will report to the Director at the Boston
site.
Occasional Saturday required
Under the general direction of the Administrator, the Physical Therapist should
provide comprehensive physical therapy care to adults of all ages by evaluating
dysfunction, identifying patient treatment goals, and establishing/implementing
individualized treatment programs. The Therapist is expected to provide
education to the patient and family. The Therapist is also responsible for
working in a manner to prevent unsafe conditions and hazards in the work
environment that may adversely affect the safety and health of self and others.

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an AMA/APTA approved Physical Therapy program.
Current Massachusetts state license (or eligible) to practice as a physical
therapist.
Organizational and time management skills to: carry out responsibilities
reliably and independently, complete tasks and meet deadlines in a satisfactory
manner, delegate responsibilities effectively.
Good interpersonal skills to interact with patients’ families and other health
care professionals.
Analytical skills necessary to assess patients’ needs and develop treatment
and discharge planning programs for patients on various/specific services.
Ability to lift and transfer heavy patients with established body mechanics
techniques.
2-3 years supervising a Rehab department
