Job Description
The role of the Physical Therapy Assistant is to assist the Physical Therapist in providing quality patient care for patient's aged adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years). Maintains documentation on patient treatments. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and development; provides health education to patients, families and other health care providers; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interaction; and contributes to efficient operations of the department. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, your job responsibilities and performance expectations are intended to reflect the major responsibilities of the job but is not intented to describe minor duties or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. These duties shall vary as to the department for which you have applied, but SHALL NOT exceed those constraints placed upon you by the state of Kentucky Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Job Requirements
- Associates degree with graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Must hold a current KY certification to practice as a physical therapists assistant
- CPR certification.
