PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
St. Mary’s is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to carry out treatment, implementation and documentation of patient status for our in-patient program under the direction of the registered physical therapist. The qualified applicant will assist the physical therapist in assessing the patient’s functional level by applying appropriate tests as well as treats patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function and maintain maximum performance using appropriate physical therapy treatments, modalities and procedures as stated in the physical therapy plan of care. They will also develop, prepare and maintain individualized patient care progress records with accuracy, timeliness and submit accurate documentation when change in patient status occurs.
Job Requirements

Licensed as a physical therapy assistant by the state of New York.

Graduate of a two-year, college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Minimum of one year as a physical therapy assistant and/or strong pediatric affiliation.
