Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Provides physical therapy treatment for inpatients and outpatients.  Treatment is delivered after the patient has been evaluated by a licensed physical therapist and the therapist has established treatment goals and a treatment plan.  The physical therapist assistant is responsible for carrying out the treatment plan and providing patient and family education as appropriate.  The physical therapist assistant will advise the supervising physical therapist of any changes in patient status and document patient progress and objective findings.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with an associates degree in physical therapy
• Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
• 1-3 years of previous experience preferred.
