Shift: 1 - Day Shift
Department: PHCMC PHYSICAL THERAPY
Employee Status: On Call

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physical Therapy Assistant implements specific treatment programs for
individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical
therapy. The Physical Therapy Assistant demonstrates proficiency in delivering
care to assigned age specific patient populations (e.g., infants, adolescents,
adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics) and functions as an interdisciplinary team
member.
POSITION REQUIRES:
State licensure by CA Board of Physical Therapy/Department of Consumer Affairs
BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association. If
applicant has certification by the American Red Cross for CPR/AED for the
Professional Rescuer this will be accepted until card expiration date.
Knowledge of clinical interventions/equipment necessary to meet the needs of
patient serviced.
Good communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Min. one year working as a Physical Therapy Assistant; past work experience in a
physical disabilities setting working with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
