We are looking for Physical Therapists to fill openings in the following:
Carilion Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Lexington, VA
Carilion Roanoke area facilities in Roanoke, VA
Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, VA
Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA
We take a team focused approach and bring a strong commitment to skills development in our staff. As a large system, Carilion provides extensive educational opportunities including an annual therapy conference.
Basic Functions: Must possess skills to interpret physician referrals, perform patient assessments, plan and implement specific treatment programs according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Will supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff to achieve efficient clinical activity and quality patient care, both in-patient and outpatient. Must have the ability to communicate with physicians, patients/families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient care.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree or certificate in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Experience: Experience preferred, but not required.
Licensure/Certifications: Must have current licensure in the State of Virginia or eligible to obtain. Must have CPR certification.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required. Job requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for prolonged periods of time. May be exposed to infectious diseases and difficult and combative patients.
