Details: Physical Therapist / PT The PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PT) is a qualified professional who directs, supervises, evaluates, and provides physical therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician. The Physical Therapist / PT provides therapy to rehabilitate and retrain major motor skills. Services are provided in a variety of healthcare settings. PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PT) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluates and establishes goals based on patient's current level of functioning and potential for improvement. The Physical Therapist / PT m aintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Treats patients to relieve pain and/or develop or restore function to maintain maximum performance. The Physical Therapist p lans for the patient's discharge, prepares discharge summaries and instructions.

We're searching for a highly motivated and energetic PHYSICAL THERAPIST to join the team in our client's unit. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive and professional environment. Additional Requirements/Information: Candidates must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a PT and/or registered as a PHYSICAL THERAPIST per state requirements. A physical therapist (PT) is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients of all ages who suffer from physical conditions that limit the ability to move and/or perform daily functional activities. A PT has a number of job functions, including assessing the patient and creating an individualized treatment plan to work on the areas that could use improvement. In assisting with a patient’s physical therapy, a PT also incorporates preventative measures against the loss of motor skills and promotes overall healthier lifestyles. The settings worked in can include: Acute Long-term care Outpatient Pediatric Psychiatric Rehabilitation School Sports medicine Job Objective: Administers and directs support staff to administer patient treatment as prescribed by a physician. Participates in programs to enhance the quality of patient care, and other department functions. Provides mentorship to new employees and student clinical instruction. Is responsible for 100% patient care and performs other duties as assigned.
