POSITION DESCRIPTION
The position of Physical Therapist PRN (216710560941) reports to the Operations and Clinical Resource Specialist in the Rehabilitation Services Department at Providence Medical Center. The mission of the Rehabilitation Services Department is to provide comprehensive physical rehabilitation care to help patients regain their functional independence in order to allow them to return to normal self-care, work and leisure activities. The Physical Therapist supports this mission by providing comprehensive evidence-based patient care for inpatients, using effective communication skills for patient-centered treatment plans and education, within the job description, as well as other organizational responsibilities to contribute to the efficient operation of the department, development of new programs and service quality improvement.
Job Requirements
Education:
Requires minimum completion of Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
Work Experience:
No previous experience required.
Licensing/Certification/Registration:
Certified by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts in Physical Therapy or new graduates must have a temporary certification issued by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA within 30 days of employment.
Knowledge & Cognitive Abilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of reading, writing, and math skills. Demonstrates the ability to use critical thinking skills to identify problems and opportunities. Exhibits personal proficiency and timeliness in the use of computer keyboard skills in relationship to computerized documentation.
