Shift Length: 8 hours
Schedule: Monday - Friday with Rotating WeekendsCampus: Helen DeVos Children's HospitalJob Summary: Provide Physical Therapy to patients based on patient need and medical direction. Provides patient/ caregiver education and arranges for adaptive equipment as needed. Evaluation and treatment of patients in the neonatal unit. Family education specific to the infant being treated. Attend family conference as needed specific to the infant being treated. Attend bimonthly neonatal rounds and follow up rounds with developmental pediatricianJob Requirement: Licensure as a PT in the State of Michigan. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Maintenance or CPR certification. Successful completion of orientation and introductory period. Prefer Masters degree.Prefer candidates that have pediatric rehab experience, comfortable with handling infants, able to perform developmental assessments for infants up to 12 months old, willing to assist in program developmentOther: Time management and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to make quality independent decisions. Ability to instruct and direct the work of others. Independently mobile. Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. Ability to lift over 60 pounds. Very frequent lifting and bending, pushing and/or pulling loads.~CB~

Job Requirements
Experience with NICU desired.
