Job Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist as you provide a full range of services including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, communication and education and related documentation. Your specific duties will include: Conducting screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention and or treatment. Evaluating residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conducting specialized evaluations as indicated Interpreting and communicating evaluation findings to residents, families and team members Developing treatment plans by identifying a target list, including short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals Monitoring resident’s response to intervention and modifying treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders Providing, recommending and/or fabricating adaptive devices, orthotics or prosthetics, as well as training resident, family and appropriate staff in the use or application of such equipment.
