Job Description

Are you a Physical Therapist / PT in the greater Boston region who wants to be part of something special??   Do you desire to work an environment that fosters interdisciplinary communication and evidence based practices?    Would you consider working for a well established organization recognized for exceptional quality care, where the patients and employees are equally motivated, valued, and supported???

A reputable and established healthcare system just minutes from Boston is looking for a Physical Therapist / PT  to work in their well-run and busy Outpatient clinic.  The PT will be responsible for working in a highly interdisciplinary team with therapists, physicians, and case managers to specifically evaluate, treat and prevent acute and chronic industrial injuries.  The Physical Therapist will provide work conditioning and hardening treatment protocols through cardiovascular conditioning, supervised exercise, body mechanics instruction, postural training and job stimulation.   They will also support prognosis and outcomes through Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) performed on site.   This clinic is widely recognized for clinical excellence across the community.  They have earned a place among the few sites to have remarkable success rates for patients who have achieved their highest level of function required to return to work safely.    Their achievements in these areas are largely due to the facility's integral model of service that fosters consistent communication and comprehensive programs related to lifestyle management, career counseling, and ongoing collaboration with the patient, therapist, case manager, physician, employer, etc.

This is a great opportunity for a Physical Therapist / PT who desires the reward of observing patients regain their independence and livelihood!

The clinic houses a large wide open gym space, with individual treatment rooms/areas, many treatment tables, and comprehensive gym equipment and modalities.  Patients are booked every 30 minutes (treatments/follow-ups), and evaluations would be 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the diagnoses.  No double booking occurs.  More often than not, the therapists are able to document while treating since they are single booked.   However, documentation time is also scheduled into his/her day.

There are 4 clinicians currently working in the clinic who are able to mentor and train, therefore, the facility is more than willing and able to consider new graduates.  There are also endless opportunities for a therapist to transition into other speciality areas, including pediatrics, vestibular, aquatics, etc as this is a large healthcare system where therapists are encouraged to work into areas of interested if/when desired!

Excellent benefits as well for employees who work at least 24 hours per week, including generous PTO, tuition reimbursement, short term/long term disability, 401k with company match, and much more!
