We are currently working with a sports clinic that has one open position in Outpatient for a Physical Therapist / PT with a background in Athletic Training. This is a newer site with updated equipment, state-of-the-art technology, plenty of space, and land and aquatic therapy programs. The PT will be involved in state-of-the-art rehab of sports injuries, strength & conditioning programs, sports clinics, custom orthotic fitting and bracing, custom splint fitting, and aquatic therapy programs. The Physical Therapist / PT will partner with multiple disciplines to effectively manage and treat post-op ortho surgical patients including spinal surgeries and total joint replacements with a specialized total joint replacement program. The dynamic and collaborative team consists of seasoned professionals, including physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, orthopedic specialists, certified strength and conditioning therapists, assistants and aides.
The Physical Therapist / PT will experience a reasonable productivity expectation where patients are scheduled once per hour for initial evaluations, and 30 - 45 minutes for treatments/follow-ups depending on the diagnoses. Patients are NOT double booked. Documentation time is alloted into the therapists schedule, 1 hour per day, not including lunch. There will be more time in the beginning to allow for learning the system and transitiong to processes and billing.
The schedule is Monday through Friday. There are at least 1-2 evenings until 6:00pm required per week. Facility will consider part time employees (one evening required), with benefits being available for those employees who work 20 hours or more.
This is a truly interdisciplinary opportunity to work with a great group of therapists while truly providing quality one on one patient care. There are also specialty teams within healthcare system that offer opportunities for continuing education and seminars, allowing therapists to branch out and acquire additional skills not practiced regularly. This organization experiences MINIMAL turn-over. Opportunities exist for therapists to advance into management positions down the road.
Facility will consider new graduates! There is plenty of support available, and the organization offers a strong training program. New therapists / new grads are paired with Clinical Specialists to help develop their skill sets and competencies in these areas, and experience a gradual increase in carrying a full caseload depending on their clinical competencies. Job Requirements
*Valid PT MA licensure, or ability to apply.
*MUST be both a Certified Athletic Trainer AND Physical Therapist.
*Must possess an outgoing personality, as well as enthusiasm, compassion, dedication, and a customer service attitude.
*Must be a true patient advocate.
*Ability to work well autonomously and in a team-oriented atmosphere.
