Your specific duties as a Physical Therapist will include: Conducting screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention and or treatment Evaluating residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conducting specialized evaluations as indicated Interpreting and communicating evaluation findings to residents, families, and team members Developing treatment plans by identifying a target list, including short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals Monitoring resident’s response to intervention and modifying treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders Providing, recommending and/or fabricating adaptive devices, orthotics or prosthetics, as well as training resident, family and appropriate staff in the use or application of such equipment Supervising and directing Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA), Rehabilitation Aides, Physical Therapy Aides, students and volunteers.
