Physical Therapist/PT provides effective and efficient evaluation and treatment of patients referred to physical therapy services throughout all hospital units, treatment centers and in patient homes in order to restore function, prevent or decrease disability following disease or injury, and assist patients to attain their maximum level of functional independence within the home and community while providing appropriate education on rehabilitation and care to both patients and caregivers.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the
- American Physical Therapy Association.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (with minimum requirements indicated as appropriate):
· Clinical internship, a portion of which is spent in rehab setting.
· One year employment as a PT in an adult, geriatric rehab or subacute setting preferred.
· Ability to use all materials and modalities specific to physical therapy services.
· Good physical and emotional health.
· High level of maturity at all times.
· Full understanding of body mechanics and safety precautions in order to protect patients, caregivers and other visitors at all times.
· Commitment to the interdisciplinary treatment approach to patient care and rehabilitation.
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES:
· Registration in the state of Missouri (or registration eligible)
· CPR certification
