Growing NEW hospital in Anchorage seeks nursing staff to be part of an exciting opportunity. St. Elias Specialty Hospital is filling its beds and needs your help!
Summary
Evaluate, assess, treat and plan for patients with impaired functional ability caused by physical illness or injury, congenital or developmental disability, emotional disorder or age specific process, in order to achieve optimum functioning and to enhance health.
Responsibilities and Duties This job description is not an employment agreement or contract. Management has the exclusive right to alter this job description at any time without notice. Provides comprehensive evaluation of patients. Performs appropriate patient treatment. Completes comprehensive discharge planning. Demonstrates effective organizational skills. Participates in education of others. Participates in the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Documents and records all pertinent information in patient chart, according to standard and procedures. Demonstrates expected productivity. Supports the hospitals functions through adherence to the hospitals policies and procedures. Accountable for maintaining and improving own job knowledge and skills.
Minimum Qualifications
As a representative of St. Elias Specialty Hospital, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct effect on the hospitals image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, guests, visitors, volunteers, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, and affiliate schools must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of team work which is congruent with hospital standards and guidelines to promote positive relations.
